A 53-year-old man charged with attempted murder after three people were allegedly stabbed last week made his first court appearance June 24 in Kentville.

The case of Paul Eldon Lake, who lives on Prospect Avenue in Kentville, has been adjourned to July 21 for election and plea. He's charged with three counts of attempted murder, three of aggravated assault and two of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

A breach of conditional sentence order allegation will also be before the court July 21.

Police say the victims were two men, ages 24 and 26, who were seriously injured, and a 36-year-old woman who was treated and released.
