Possession of hydromorphone

During an April 17 appearance in Kentville provincial court, 39 year-old Ronald William Kenneth Richards of Wilmot was sentenced on charges of unlawful possession of hydromorphone and breach of probation. The offences occurred June 27, 2013 in Berwick. The court imposed a sentence of one day in custody, deemed served, and 12 months of probation. Richards entered guilty pleas to both charges.


Theft and breach

Joshua Stephen Trider, 22, of New Minas, was handed a three-month conditional sentence and nine months of probation during an April 17 appearance in Kentville provincial court. He pleaded guilty to theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. The charges were laid April 6, 2013 in New Minas.


Impaired driving

Robert Michael Harvey, 56, of North Kentville, appeared in Kentville provincial court April 22 for sentencing on a March 8 charge of impaired driving. Harvey entered a guilty plea and was fined $1,560. He was handed a one-year driving ban by the court.


Illegal tobacco

Adrian Everett Dominey, 27, of Aylesford, was sentenced April 24 on a charge of possession of illegal tobacco products, laid July 22, 2013 in Aylesford. Dominey pleaded guilty and was fined $575.
