An Aylesford man has been sentenced to jail time after pleading guilty to break, enter and theft from the Aylesford Fire Department.

Trevor Allen Joseph Pelton, 30, was also charged with possessing break and enter instruments without lawful excuse and having his face masked with the intent of committing an indictable offence.

Pelton first appeared in court April 14, but his matters were adjourned for election and plea.

The accused was present in Kentville provincial court on April 16 and pleaded guilty to all charges. Judge Alan Tufts sentenced Pelton to 10 months in custody for break, enter and theft; one month consecutively for possessing break and enter instruments; and a second month consecutively for having his faced masked.

Pelton committed the offences in Aylesford on March 26.
