Trial dates set for woman accused in Glooscap theft

Trial dates have been set for a former Kentville woman accused of stealing from the Glooscap First Nation over a one-year period between April 1, 2012 and March 4, 2013.

Robin Joy Connell, 46, who is charged with theft over $5,000 from the Glooscap Variety Store, Gas Bar and Gaming Room in Bishopville, Kings County, was not present for her hearing held in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Kentville on April 3. She was represented by defense lawyer Chris Manning, acting for New Brunswick attorney David Lutz.

A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for June 6 and Connell was ordered to return to court in Kentville for a jury trial to be held between Nov. 3-7.
