Kelsey Leanne Pynch has been sentenced to an 18-month Conditional Sentence Order with house arrest for 12 months, followed by daily curfew. This is to be followed by 18 months of probation.

Pynch pled guilty in September to a charge of trafficking methadone on two occasions in June 2012 to 20-year old Katanna Macdonald.

Pynch had been charged with criminal negligence causing Macdonald's death but this charge was withdrawn by the Crown in September.

Macdonald died on June 21, 2012 after allegedly consuming methadone.

More to come.
