The giant chair at the Cape Forchu Lightstation, which was destroyed in the March 26 blizzard, has been replaced.

Employees from E & J Millworks delivered the new chair that the business, along with Gary Kent’s Vincent Dressings, donated to the Friends of the Yarmouth Light.

Driver Raymond d’Entremont, Phillip d’Entremont and Kyle Cottreau posed for a picture before heading back to the shop. The chair will be painted yellow when warmer weather arrives.

Thousands viewed the previous chair via the Nova Scotia Webcam link on their website.

Where might I find the history / background to the Big Chair, please? It MUST be part of the landscape for a reason.
