A motion will be brought to the next meeting of Yarmouth town council to accept conceptual drawings for way-finding signs that will be used throughout the town.

Once this motion is approved, the next step will be to send the project out to tender for pricing of signs.

A motion to accept the design for the signs was approved at a March 27 town committee of the whole meeting. Some of the signs have been designed to incorporate the colours and graphics that were part of the Yarmouth 250th celebrations.

The signs will direct travelers to the downtown, various points of interest and the ferry terminal.

Some of the signs that indicate the direction of multiple points of interest would be located along parts of Main Street and Water Street.

Other directional way-finding signs would be set up in various parts of the town.

The town wants to have a consistent look with this signage.
