Due to the unexpected unavailability of a physician, the Roseway Hospital Emergency Department was closed for 24 hours: today Sunday, January 12 at 8 a.m. until Monday, Jan. 13 at 8 a.m.
Shelburne County residents requiring emergency services during the hours of closure were asked to visit the nearest open Emergency Department or Collaborative Emergency Centre.
The public is reminded to dial 911 in the case of a health emergency; paramedics can administer live saving treatment during transport to hospital.
In non-emergency situations, call 811 to speak to a Registered Nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week for advice.
