Barrington RCMP are reporting thefts from trucks on local wharfs

 

Barrington RCMP are investigating a rash of break and enters into trucks parked on local wharfs.

Sgt. MJ Deluco said several vehicles were broken into Sunday morning, Dec. 8 as their owners were out fishing. A number of small items were taken. 

Thefts were reported at wharfs on South Side, Clarks Harbour and West Head.

None of the vehicles were locked.

“These are crimes of opportunity,” said Sgt. Deluco.

She said the RCMP were also aware of more breaks on Tuesday, Dec. 10 that had not been reported to them.

    For goodness sake! Is it not hard enough to make a living this lobster season already? To those lazy thieves who don't have enough backbone to go on the water, in this cold weather and actually work - you should be ashamed of yourselves!! Who raise you anyway?
