Close to 140 participants gathered at the Wolfville Farmers' Market Dec. 31 for a New Year's run or walk through downtown Wolfville.

The Resolution Run, now in its seventh year, benefits the Wolfville Area Inter Church Council Food Bank.  Registration is by a cash donation or food item donation to the food bank. The six previous runs have had about 530 participants and raised $1,955, along with 1,055 pounds of food for the cause. This year’s total of financial donations was up over 50 per cent from 2012 at $680. More than 300 pounds of food was collected.

After running or walking the five-kilometre or 3.5 km option, participants were welcomed back to the market for hot cider, courtesy of Stirling’s Farm Market, and a chance at winning some door prizes.
