Capital Health will be doing maintenance work on its electrical system at the Hants Community Hospital and Haliburton Place on Saturday, Sept. 6, Sunday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 13.

As a result, there will be brief planned power interruptions that will affect parts of these facilities from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on each of these dates.

All essential equipment will have backup power. The halls and rooms may have limited lighting. Staff will have flashlights and headlamps on hand.

On Sunday, Sept. 7, there will be no air conditioning and the main elevators will not work. Volunteers and staff will be on hand to direct patients and visitors to other elevators if needed.
The emergency department will be operating as usual during the outages.

Hants Community Hospital and Haliburton Place will be open to visitors. For safety, visitors are asked to limit movement around the building during outages.
