Vikings win this week at home; YCMHS senior boys and girls to play in regionals Feb. 15-16 at Horton

It will be off to the Division 1 high school basketball regionals next weekend for the Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School senior boys and girls teams.

The western regional championships will be hosted by Horton High School Feb. 15-16.

Both the Viking boys and girls were in action this week.

On Wednesday, Feb. 6, the Yarmouth boys defeated Avon View 89-57.

Dylan Landry led the Vikings with 32 points and teammate Noah Wilcox had 23.

Randal Fells had 28 rebounds.

Also on Wednesday, the Viking girls fell to Avon View 67-57.

Emma Corporon had 19 points for Yarmouth in this one, with Sam Nelson contributing 14 and Zoe Schwan 10.

On Thursday, the Yarmouth girls played host to Barrington and defeated them 53-26 in their “seniors” game, with four seniors leading the Viking offence.

Josianne Doucet netted 13 points, Janelle Brewer 12, Emma Hiltz eight and Courtney Ebbett six.
