Soccer Axewomen earn win against Seahawks, Axemen take a loss


Acadia's women's soccer team continued their winning streak with a 2-1 victory of Memorial on Sunday afternoon.

In the Sept. 21 match, Kings County natives  Kinsella Noseworthy-Smith and Chantelle Cadeau scored for the Axewomen. Jesse Noseworthy scored for the Seahawks.

The Axewomen are currently in second place in the conference going into their Sept. 27 game against the UPEI Panthers in Charlottetown.

In the men's game, Acadia posted it's third loss in a row - going down 1-0 to the Seahawks. Ryan Thistle scored for Memorial in the team's first win of the season.

The Axemen's next game is at also at UPEI next Saturday.
