École Secondaire de Par-en-Bas's junior girls volleyball team was triumphant in its first tournament of the season, winning an event at Bluenose Academy in Lunenburg this past weekend.

The PEB team went undefeated in round-robin play, beating Hebbville, New Germany, Bridgewater team Walker and team Conrad, as well as hometown team Bluenose Academy.

They faced the Bridgewater Vikings team Walker in the championship game, downing them 25-18 and 25-23 to earn the gold medal.

The PEB team is coached by Andrea Doucette and assisted by Hannah Allen and Tasha Shand.

École Secondaire de Par-en-Bas will be hosting their home tournament Saturday, Oct. 12, with games running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
