At the provincial summer championships recently in Windsor, he also captured three gold and two silver medals.
Twelve-year-old Domingo, who lives in New Minas, said he felt good about the wins. He is now motivated to practice daily this fall at the Acadia University pool while attending Grade 8 at Evangeline Middle School.
He’s had a spot on the Marlins team since 2015 and picked up a couple of silver medals before, but this year Domingo was part of a great championship weekend, according to coach Ethan Payne.
Payne has a lot of praise for Domingo’s technique, hard work and natural ability.
“He has a bright future on the team. I’m super excited for next year,” Payne said.
Payne stepped in for the Middleton coach, who couldn’t make the weekend.
The championships were held from Aug. 18 – 20, at the Hants Aquatic Centre in Windsor.
