The Leafs were in a must-win position March 1 and didn't disappoint fans as they defeated the East Hants Penguins 5-3.

Now tied at three games apiece, the Leafs will host the Penguins in Windsor at the Hants Exhibition Arena on March 3. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Game 6 was played March 1 and the Leafs knew what they had to do. They started off strong, tallying three goals in the first period. Nathan Clarke scored twice and Brett Bittner scored on the power-play.

The Leafs and Penguins traded goals in the second, with Isaac Bridge scoring for the Valley squad and Kyle Randall putting East Hants on the board.

The Penguins' sharp-shooter Eric Snedden scored twice in the third – once short-handed and once on the power-play – to close the gap to 4-3. The Leafs' captain, Tyler Young, potted an empty net goal with eight seconds remaining in the game to ensure the Leafs have another chance to win the playoffs.

Christopher Clokie was sharp in nets, stopping 44 attempts. Ryan Huestis was tagged with the loss, stopping 37.

The winner of Game 7 in Windsor will advance to the Fred Fox Division final against the Liverpool Privateers, who defeated the Cole Harbour Colts four games to two.
