Due to unforeseen circumstances, NHL great Bryan Trottier announced he wouldn't be able to come to Windsor Jan. 27 to participate in the planned fundraiser. Trottier will be attending the All Star game in Tampa, Florida as one of the 100 greatest NHL players.
The event organizers are excited to announce that Wendel Clark will be taking Trottier's place in the celebrity line up.
Clark was the Toronto Maple Leafs' 1985 first round pick. He amassed 564 points on 330 goals and 234 assists during his 15-year NHL career.
In 2017, he was named, along with Frank Mahovlich, Red Kelly and Charlie Conacher, to the Leafs' Legends Row.
Clark will be joining Ron Duguay, a 12-year NHL veteran, at the seventh annual Long Pond Hockey Heritage Classic. The hockey tournament will be held outside at Long Pond on the Dill Family Farm, with a banquet to follow that evening at King's-Edgehill School.
