WINDSOR, N.S. - The Avon River Rats lost three games to the Eastern Shore Thunder by scores of 3-1, 6-3 and 10-1 in Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League play this season.

But they managed to change things around during the Oct. 29 game in Windsor.

The River Rats took a 5-2 first period lead, scoring twice more in the second, and then ran over the Thunder rink the third period with five more goals for a convincing 12-2 win.

Kyle Armsworthy led the way for Avon with a five-point night on a goal while garnering four assists.

Devon Pennell scored three times, one in each period, and added an assist.

Logan Cleveland added a pair, with singles going to Justin MacLellan who also added 3 assists, Josh Demont, Nathan Shanks, Tyler Comeau, Adam Ferguson, and Tyler Lapierre.

Carter McMullin stopped 27 of 29 shots he faced for the River Rats in nets.

The win tied the Rats with the Thunder for 2nd place with 12 points, 5 back from the first place Spryfield Attack, who the River Rats on Nov. 5.
