The Janney shootout was held at the par 72, 6,955-yard Hermitage Country Club in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia
Hermitage Country Club was founded in 1900 on the outer edges of the city of Richmond. It features medium-sized greens with 40-foot pines to make it interesting. This traditional-style course has tree-lined fairways built on rolling terrain, and water comes into play on several holes.
Creighton won both the Nova Scotia Junior Golf title and the Atlantic Junior title this summer and tied for 22nd at Nationals. He was named freshman of the week in the Big South university athletic conference after his first tournament in West Virginia on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 8 and 9.
The Highlanders’ next tournament will be in Camden, South Carolina for the Camden Collegiate Invitational, a two-day, 54-hole tournament hosted by the University of South Carolina, Oct. 18-19 at Camden Country Club.
