Muise, who will serve as the NSGA president until the end of the 2016 season, is the third president of the association to serve from the Clare Golf Club.
Prior to joining the NSGA board in 2006, Muise was on the board of Clare Golf Club for 12 years and served as its president 2004-05. He has been active with both the Clare club and the NSGA. He managed the tee box sponsorships for Clare for 15 years, was on the organizing committee for the Lobster Classic for eight years, and served on the committee that provided 10 free memberships to juniors in his community.
While with the NSGA. Muise has served as western zone representative, director of membership, and terms as first and second vice-president. He also served as the provincial council with Golf Canada, and has been active over the years as an official for NSGA championships.
Born in Grosses Coques, Muise lived and worked with Consolidated Freightways in Stoughton, Mass., for over 30 years. After retiring, he moved home to Nova Scotia where he lives with his wife Lorraine in Little Brook.
Previous NSGA presidents from Clare were Dr. Julius Comeau in 1986-87 and Roland Deveau in 2001-02.
