Gordon Chase, coach with the Avalanche said he was pleased with the outcome.
“We’ve got guys back on the team that were injured or had other commitments, things seem to be working,” Chase said following the game. “The game next week against (North East Kings Education Centre) is our focus now, we’re tied for second right now.”
Chase said Tyler Eddy, Spenser Bauchman and Jem Whidden stood out during Sunday's match, some getting big interceptions that changed the momentum of the game entirely.
The Avalanche will take on the Northeast Kings Education Centre Titans at their field on Oct. 22, 2016.
“We’ve just got to get our plays down, run them perfectly,” he said. “They’ve got very good coaching and practise their plays constantly. They don’t give up.”
The NKEC Titan’s are last year’s defending champions.
