Shelburne Schooners to host Yarmouth in Clarks Harbour on Canada Day 

SHELBURNE -The Yarmouth Usher’s Gateways fell to the Shelburne County Schooners 1-0 in June 25 Nova Scotia Scotia Intermediate Baseball League action in Shelburne.

The Schooners brought home Keith Nickerson on a sacrifice fly for the only run in a game that took nine innings to complete.

The Gateways had just two hits.

The Shelburne team’s next scheduled game is on Canada Day against the Schooners again, this time in Clark’s Harbour at 1 p.m.

With nine games under the team’s belt, the Schooner’s are playing close to .500 baseball with four wins and five losses.

On July 5, the Schooners will be playing on the road for a doubleheader in Hantsport.
