Wildcats' head coach Ian Mosher had said May 8 that he had been told by Town of Kentville facilities manager Kevin Bennett that Memorial Park was likely not going to be ready to start the season as scheduled this weekend.

The games could potentially have been played as scheduled if there had been no rain this week, but with the rain and showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, town staff were unable to get the field into playing condition in time for the weekend.

Mosher confirmed by email May 13 that the games had been postponed. No makeup dates have been announced at this time.

The Wildcats' first scheduled games of the season will now be a doubleheader May 24 in Truro at 2 and 5 p.m. The home opener is now scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, also against Truro.
