The opening game was called after five innings, with the Rockies ahead by seven runs.

Curtis Broussard led the team offensively with a single and a double while Sean Croft played down three beautiful bunt singles.
Aaron Harvey also homered in the first inning after the first two players had reached base. Trent MacKeil also pounded out three singles and a double in securing the victory.
It was a different story in the second game as the Elks improved to 5-2 on the season while the Rockies fell to 3-5.
Schofield started the second game and left in the second inning with a 2-0 lead. The Rockies relief pitchers could not hold the lead as the Elks plated seven runs to the Rockies’ one for a 7-3 win.
Connor Hilton hit a pair of doubles and a single to assist the Elks while Croft continued his impressive plate appearances with two more bunt singles for the Rockies. Broussard, Matt Lyttle, and Hillary Fuller pitched in relief for the Rockies.

The White Rock Rockies will be in action at the St. Croix ball field June 29 for a double header against the Colchester Royals, July 6 against the Halifax Pepperjacks, and July 11 against the Nova Scotia Canada Games Team. Game times are 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
