BARRINGTON, N.S. —

The Barrington Barons posted their fourth consecutive victory in the high school senior girls Rugby 7s Day of Champions against the Shelburne Rebels on May 18.
The Barons won the best-of-three competition two games straight.
Both the Barons and the Rebels were praised by referee Andrew Hines during the trophy presentation for their playing techniques and dedication to the sport.
The rugby season had seen an interruption this year when the NSSAF declared an end to the season – effective immediately – at the beginning of the month over concerns of player safety. The decision led to public protests and petitions. The province's Minister of Education Zach Churchill quickly stepped in, telling the NSSAF to reinstate the sport.
