Tremblett, Walter James (Jim) August 25, 1947 – June 23, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter James Tremblett. Born in Sydney Mines and passed away at the Jubilee Hospital, Victoria B.C after a lengthy illness. He will be greatly missed by his loving children, Mark and Jaclyn, (Dan Goldsmith); grandchildren, Max and Lucas; sisters, Denise (Tom) Raine and Louise (Reg) Jerrett; brothers, Gerard (Alison), Ron (Diane) and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his wife and the love of his life, Elizabeth; parents, Walter Tremblett and Annie Mae (Blinkhorn) Tremblett; sister, Sharon and brother, Glen. In his youth Jim participated in the Boy Scouts in Sydney Mines and this eventually led him to join the Canadian Military. He was a member of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. His regiment was posted to Cyprus in the 1970’s. Jim often spoke about his military experiences and how proud he was to be part of this troupe. After leaving the military Jim worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Saanich, Vancouver Island. Jim enjoyed playing hockey and coaching while living in Sydney, B.C. Jim instilled in his children a love for the great outdoors by taking his family on many camping excursions over the years. Jim was a good man, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed a cold beer and a good joke. A Celebration of Life has taken place in Victoria B.C and internment will be taking place on July 17, 2019 at Hatley Memorial Gardens, Colwood, British Columbia.
