Funeral service for the late Vivian Tobey, Port Hood, Inverness County, was held July 30 in St. Stephen’s - Jubilee United Church, Port Hood. Burial was in Union Protestant Cemetery, Port Hood. Mrs. Tobey died July 21, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in 1932 on Port Hood Island, she was a daughter of the late Sinclair and Ola (Crowell) Cameron. She was a member of St. Stephen’s - Jubilee United Church, the UCW, Red Cross, Girl Guides of Canada, a founding member of Knitters and Stitchers and the Chestico Museum & Historical Society. She is survived by four sons, Allen (Edna), Lyons Brook; Allister (Shauneth), Leonard (Sandi), all of Port Hood; Harvey (Barbara), Niagara Falls, Ontario; daughter, Cheryl (Jerome) Myette, Port Hawkesbury; nine grandchildren, Neil (Diane), Dawn, Sharin (Joshua), Kassandra (Eric), Christopher (Jessica), Anne (J.P.), Hope (Caileigh), Jocelyn, Jeremy; five great-grandchildren, Abigael, Lawson, Andy, Madeline, Hallie. She was predeceased by her husband, Les; grandson, Eric; three brothers, Earl, Frank, Charlie. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen’s-Jubilee United Church or Port Hood Resting Place.
