Veronica 'V' McMillan

A celebration of life for the late Veronica ‘V’ (Overmars) McMillan, 59, Truro, was held August 4 in Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro. Mrs. McMillan died July 29, 2018, as the result of a cycling accident. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Euphemia and Anton Overmars, St. Andrews. She spent almost her entire working life as a dental assistant, having spent the last 10 years at Alliance Dental in Truro. She could often be found on the golf course, in the pool, riding her bike, kayaking, snowboarding at Ski Wentworth, running the sidewalks of Bible Hill, or walking and cross-country skiing in Victoria Park. She spent endless hours supporting her children in their many endeavours. She also took immaculate care of her yard and her garden. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Doug; three daughters, Justine, Nicole (Tyrone), Miranda (Sue); seven brothers, Gerard (Anna), John (Mary), Tony (Jenny), Henry (Barb), Francis (Estelle), Joe (Carrie), Paul; two sisters, Mary (Bob), Jeanette (Walt); soon to be first grandchild.
