Veronica Rose Caldwell

CALDWELL, Veronica Rose North Sydney Feb. 15, 1948 - Oct. 19, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, sister and friend Rose. Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marion (McCarthy) Keagan. Rose is survived by her three daughters, Tracey (Sandy), Lisa (Percy) and Alana; step son Darrell Roland; her grandchildren, Mitchell, Rebecca, Emily, Jeoffory, Morgan, Brandon, Nicholas, Lucas and great-grandchildren Maxim, Abigail and Lily. Rose is also survived by her sister, Mim; brothers, George (Joanne), Douglas (Patricia) and Peter; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen, Bernadette, Linda (Armond), Betty (Carl); brother-in-law, Stewart (Gret) as well as many nieces and nephew. Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husbands, John Penny and Allen Caldwell; sons, John and Edward; granddaughter, Bailey; brothers, Michael "Pete", Charlie, Edward (Marilyn); brother-in-law, Donnie (Maisie) and her niece, Kelsey Keeling. Rose worked for several years at the Cape Breton Hospital where she formed many long-lasting friendships with her co-workers. She spent many weekends with her best friend, Isobel relaxing with her Washabuck family. Special thanks to Dr. Waver and staff for their compassion and care.
