Theresa Catherine Macintosh — Sydney

With sadness, we, the family of Theresa Catherine MacIntosh, regret to announce her passing on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the MacGillivray Guest Home, Sydney. Born November 26, 1929, in Shenacadie, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Catherine (MacNeil) MacKinnon. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Marilyn MacNeil, Edwardsville and Dianne Collier, Montreal; sons, Peter (Rosella), Pt. Aconi and Stephen (Lisa), Howie Center; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bedford. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Theresa was also predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Kay, Stephen, Joseph and Francis, as well as her son-in-law, Allan MacNeil. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 8 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, Westmount on Monday, April 9 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Everett McDow officiating. Interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Every Woman’s Center or a charity of your choice.
