Shalana Lake

Shalana Elaine Lake (Shirley) Jan 31st 1953-2017. It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden unexpected passing of Shalana (Shirley) Lake, July 28th 2017, who resided in Bellingham, Washington, USA but was born to Harvey & Grace (Benedict) Lake of Newport Landing. She moved to California as a teen after the passing of her mother in 1967, later moving to Bellingham with her ex-husband. She started a cleaning business and was still doing this up to her passing. Shalana is survived by 12 siblings, 7 sisters, Barbara, Jean, Joyce, Carol, Mona, Edith & Peggy. 5 brothers, Victor, Phillip, Billie, Garnet & Kenny, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, mother in 1967, father in 1994, and brother Wilfred in 2014. Graveside service was held at Newport Landing Cemetery, August 28, 2017, Rev. Garnet Parker officiated. Donations in her name can be made to the Newport Landing Cemetery or the Newport Landing Wharf.
