EGAN, Rosena Amelia Heaven has acquired a new singer on September 11. Rose Egan (Mullins) passed away very peacefully at Alderwood Guest Home, Baddeck, surrounded by the loving staff of Loch Breigh and her sister-in-law, Yvonne Dawe. Born in Grand Bank, Nl, on August 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Lawson and Myrtle (Hodder) Mullins. Rose was a gentle and loving soul who had a great affection for all the children in her neighborhood and she especially loved her pets. She worked at numerous places, but the one she enjoyed the most was working at the Glace Bay Police Dept., where she made many friends and from where she retired. She is survived by brothers, Edward (Hannah) Mullins and William (Muriel) Mullins and sisters, Susan Martin and Vera (Paul) Kavanaugh. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Yvonne (Lonnie) Dawe, Marilyn (Joe) Hynes, Ann McDonald and brother-in-law, Melvin Egan (Marilyn). There are also many loving nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Egan; brothers, Graham Mullins, Willoughby Mullins and Clarence Hodder and sisters, Sharon, Daisy and Betty. Funeral service will be held at Patten Funeral Home Chapel, Glace Bay on Saturday, September 14 at 1 p.m. On-line condolences may be made to the family at www.pattenfuneral.com
