Ronald 'Rocco' Felix Dipenta

DIPENTA, Ronald ‘Rocco’ Felix It is with great sadness the family of Rocco DiPenta announce his passing on October 12, 2019 at CBRH at the age of 85. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Rocky and Janet (MacDonald) DiPenta. Rocco was a veteran with the Royal Canadian Army. He worked as a Regional Sales Director of Frito Lay & Humpty Dumpty Food Company until his retirement in 1999. Rocco was active in the community with the KOC, UCT and the Whitney Pier Historical Society. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary ‘Micka’ (Rozicki). He also leaves behind his son and best friend, Karl (Glenda) of Sydney, son, Curt of Sydney; daughter, Mich of Winnipeg; sister, Theressa of New York; three grandchildren; one great-grandson, and other relatives and many friends. Besides his parents, Rocco was predeceased by his brother, Mike; sister, Carolyn; mother-in-law, Helen (Rozicki). Special thanks to Glenda for always looking after him and to the staff of 3B for their wonderful care. There will be no visitation as per his request. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Mary’s Polish Church, 21 Wesley St., with Fr. Dennis Lamey officiating.
