Roger Charles 'Coach' Macmillan

MACMILLAN, Roger Charles “Coach” Roger Charles “Coach” MacMillan, formerly of Cartier St. Sydney, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the Harbourstone Enhanced Care under palliative care. Born in Sydney, Roger was the son of Ervina (Donovan) and Bruce MacMillan. Survived by his wife, Muriel (MacLennan), Sydney; daughter, Janet Porter, Dartmouth; sons, Scott, Washington, DC and Bruce, Whistler, BC. Also survived by his sister, Karen (Gary) Wilson. Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his sister, Lawrie MacDonald of Dartmouth. Roger spent the majority of his life in Sales and Marketing including, CJCB Radio, CJCH Halifax, Moosehead Breweries and Atlantic Lottery Corporation. As per Roger’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. An intimate family service will take place at a later date. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of MacDougall Court at Harbourstone for their care and compassion to Roger and his family over the last six years.
