Rev. Robert Sheldon Maclennan — SYDNEY

MACLENNAN, Rev. Robert Sheldon Glace BayIt is with sadness that we the family of Rev. Robert Sheldon MacLennan announce his passing on June 12, 2019. Robert was born on June 27, 1937, the son of Murdena and William MacLennan. Robert graduated from Mt. Allison University after 4 years, and Pine Hill Divinity College, Halifax. He served as minister in the United Church of Canada in Doaktown, N.B., Eastend, Sask., and Sheet Harbour. He was Welfare Officer for the town of Glacé Bay for several years. Surviving Robert are his 3 sons, Robert, Roddie, and Keith, Halifax; 4 grandchildren, Taryn, Mark, Liam and Kylie; one great grandchild, River; sister, Betty Metcalfe; brother, Rev. Billo MacLennan (Brenda); Cameron (Karen); and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Kenneth in 1992. As per his request, there will be no funeral service or wake. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made in Roberts memory to charity of your choice. To be absent from the body, is to be present with The Lord.
