Ray Macneil

MacNEIL, Ray “Fester” Pictou MacNEIL, Raymond Douglas “Fester” -54, of St. Andrew’s Street, Pictou, passed away suddenly March 4, 2018 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Pat & Roberta (Nichols) MacNeil. Ray enjoyed playing cards, crib and fishing. He worked at the Pictou Shipyard, the Hailfax Shipyard and the paper boats. Ray is survived by his common law partner of 33 years, Susan Underwood; daughters, Ashley Tree (Dana) and Diana MacNeil; granddaughters, Danica, Abby Jay, and Nerissa; his brothers and sisters, Darlene Forbes (Robbie), Denise MacNeil (Mike), John MacNeil (Yvette), Kevin MacNeil, Lloyd MacNeil (Darlene), Mike MacNeil (Bridget), and Bob MacNeil. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Jim and Drummond. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday in the Stella Maris Parish Hall, Pictou.
