Rae Varey — Yarmouth

Varey, Rae Beverly, 83, Chegoggin, Yarmouth Co, passed away on Saturday, May 19,2018, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he was the son to the late George and Vivian (Hutchinson) Varey. He is survived by his loving devoted wife of 62 years, Ethel(Buffet), as well as their daughters, Brenda (Greg) Cook, Yarmouth; Suzanne (James) Wimberly, Chicago; 10 grandchildren, Garth and Jared Makarowski; Mya Smith; Kris and Jonathan Stewart; Stefanie Doane; Joshua and Rayna Wimberly; Amanda Deins; Jessica Cordova; 11 great grandchildren. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence Varey, Everal Varey; daughter Jill Stewart. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 3 pm from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Chegoggin. Mr. Jim Smith officiating. It had been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Rae’s memory may be made to the Tri County VON. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth.
