OUTHOUSE, Nettie Leona – age 79 of Bayside Home in Barrington and formerly of Yarmouth passed away on May 29, 2018. Born in Freeport, Digby Neck she was a daughter to the late Harold and Sarah (Stark) McCullough. Nettie’s first passion was being a homemaker. People knew her by her immaculate housekeeping; a clean home was extremely important to her. Her husband Burton was her second passion, together they enjoyed music, square dancing, camping and travelling. In her spare time Nettie loved to knit, crochet and quilt. She is survived by her son, Terry (Nancy) of Port Maitland, her daughter Vicky (Gerard) LeBlanc of Middle West Pubnico; brother, Nelson, sister Beulah Burns, B.C.; sister in law, Annabelle, B.C.; and Margaret Davidson, Digby; granddaughters, Deanna (Steven Doucet), Amanda Outhouse, Ashley LeBlanc, grandson Greg LeBlanc; great grandsons Ethan and Korbin Doucet, great granddaughter Taylor Doucet along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents Nettie was predeceased by her husband Burton in 2015; brothers, Sheldon, Emmerson, Roland and Douglas; sister, Erna Nickerson; and two siblings in childhood. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Friday June 1, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service took place on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel in Yarmouth with Pastor Keith Moore officiating. Interment followed in Port Maitland/Beaver River Cemetery. Flowers are welcome as well as memorial donations to Port Maitland Fire Hall or Bayside Home in Barrington.
