Mildred Gale Matzick

MATZICK, Mildred (Gale) Glace Bay/North Sydney It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear daughter, partner, sister, aunt and friend, Millie (Gale) Matzick, 51, on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at home. Born April 13, 1968, she was the daughter of Dennis Gale and the late Betty (Amey) Gale. Millie had been employed as a customer service representative for many years and most recently worked with Citizenship and Immigration in Sydney. She was a very kind and loving person who had a soft spot for animals, especially her dogs. Millie is survived by her father Dennis Gale, Glace Bay; her partner, Eddie Dalton and his daughter, Samantha, Glace Bay; sister, Tammy (Trapper) MacPherson, Ft. McMurray; brother, Lloyd Gale, North Sydney; niece Krystal, four nephews, Jesse, George, Aaron, Curtis and many cousins. Besides her mother, Betty, she was predeceased by her nephew, Dennis MacPherson. Visitation for Millie will be 2 pm to 5 pm Sunday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Matthew Wesley United Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
