WOLODKA, Michael James ‘Jimmie’ Whitney Pier With broken hearts, we, the family of Michael James ‘Jimmie’ Wolodka, regret to announce his passing on Sunday, October 13, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born June 5, 1951, he was the son of Michael Wolodka and the late Mary (Rodgers) Wolodka. Until retirement, Jimmie worked as a crane operator in the finishing mill at Sydney Steel. He was a member of the former Trinity United Church, Whitney Pier. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Sadie (Jolie); daughter, Pamela (Troy) Jackson, Windsor Junction; son, Daniel (Bonnie), Sydney; stepdaughters, April Grant (Kelsie), Dartmouth and Stephanie Grant (Kyle), Sydney; stepson, Joey (Amber) Grant, Whitney Pier; grandchildren, Jessica, Jamey, Kent and Jacob; stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey, Makayla, Jamie, Hailey, Hayden, Nathan, Tyler, Kiyah, Aurora, Kyson and Amara; sisters, Sheila Reeves, Sydney, Merna Wolodka, Whitney Pier, Nancy (Wayne) MacDonald, East Bay, Joanie (Matthew) MacDougall, Sydney River and Margie Wolodka, Sydney; brother, Paul (Joanne), AB; uncle, Fred (Ellie) Wolodka, Sydney; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Arthur) Murphy, Sydney and Beverly (Earl) Keough and Jacqueline Jolie, ON. Besides his mother, Jimmie was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Patricia Jolie and step-grandson, Mallekai. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 18 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jackie Warren officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
