Maurice 'Cordell' Aubrecht — Calgary

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maurice “Cordell” Aubrecht, age 58, who passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at his home in Calgary. Cordell was born in Sydney Mines on May 31, 1960. He was the son of Shirley (Moore) & Rudy Aubrecht. Cordell was an avid outdoorsman and green thumb. He loved to fish and hunt and was at total peace when in nature. He had a huge heart and was so generous to all that knew him. From a young age, he worked as a scaffolder and was well known for his exceptional work ethic. He was a proud union member and loved his trade. Cordell leaves behind, his beloved daughters, Patrice (Robert) and LaTasha (David) and his two grandsons, Matthew and Brayden. Cordell is also survived by his brother, Derrick (Donna); his two sisters, Mellodee and Yolanda (Shane); the mother of his children, Wanda; and his many nieces and nephews, particularly Rudy and Chatham, with whom he had a special bond. He was predeceased by his parents, Shirley and Rudy and also his cherished dog, Fudgie. There will be a private family celebration of his life.
