Mary Teresa MacLellan

Funeral service for the late Mary Teresa MacLellan, 82, Ontario, formerly of Dunvegan, was held August 25 in St. Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic Church, Inverness. Mrs. MacLellan died August 16, 2018, in Ontario. Born March 7, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John Archie and Marjorie MacLellan. She was passionate about teaching, a job she began at the age of 18 in Inverness County, one which she would continue in Toronto, Ontario, where she taught for many years for the Toronto Catholic School Board. She dedicated her life to family and faith. She held a deep knowledge of her family roots and was always interested in learning about the roots of those whom she would meet throughout her day. She always had a rosary with her and prayed constantly for the intentions of others. She is survived by three sisters, Jessie Nicholson, Marcella (Danny) Doucet, Peggy (Bernie) Kennedy; six nephews and nieces, Donald, Darryl, Dean, Debbie, John, Joseph; five great nephews and nieces, Joey, Jordan, Erin, Jessica, Bernard. She was predeceased by her brother, Father Donald MacLellan; brother-in-law, Francis Nicholson. Memorial donations may be made to the McCall Centre, 140 Sherway Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9C 1A4.
