Mary Margaret ‘Dodie’ MacDonald

Funeral service for the late Mary Margaret ‘Dodie’ MacDonald, 69, McArras Brook, Antigonish County, was held November 27 in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Arisaig, with Father Colin MacKinnon officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Miss MacDonald died November 23, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Readers at the funeral Mass were Jimmy MacDonald, Shelley Stewart and Jillian Brown. Ewan and Nora Stewart presented the offertory gifts. Eucharistic minister was Angie Connors. Music was provided by Ty Wallace. Urn bearer was Mark Connors. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Annie (MacEachern) MacDonald. She spent many years working at Lismore Seafoods. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and spending time with her pets. She is survived by brother, Bernie (Laurel), New Glasgow; two sisters, Carole (Ernie) Connors, Bayfield; Cathy (Ed) Brown, McArras Brook; sister-in-law, Anne, The Keppoch; three nieces, Shelley, Denise, Jillian; four nephews, Jimmie, Mark, Gerry, Paul.
