Mary Joan Landry

Funeral service for the late Mary Joan Landry, 81, Little Anse, was held December 11 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Petit de Grat, with Father Michel Exalant officiating. Burial was in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. Mrs. Landry died December 5, 2018, in St Anne’s Centre, Arichat. Born August 2, 1937, in Little Anse, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Zenna (Langlois) Samson. She is survived by three sons, Douglas (Lorena,) Arichat; Kevin, Halifax; Nolon (Brenda), Lower Sackville; eight grandchildren, Jason (Jolene), Randhall, Mireille, Marielle (Jonathan), Mitchell, Mason, Emily, Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Vander, Eidaca, Malik; three brothers, Vernon (Madeline) Samson, Petit de Grat; Cletus (Laura), Vancouver; Elmer (Doreen) Samson, Little Anse; two sisters, Tillie Landry, Petit de Grat; Susan (Venard) Samson, D’Escousse. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph; daughter, Margaret Anne; four sisters, Annette, Doris, Rosaline, Antoinette; brother, Robert ‘Bobby’.
