Mary Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Taylor

Funeral service for the late Mary Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Taylor, 67, Lochaber and St. Pete’s, Florida, was held April 11 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with Reverend Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in MacPherson’s Mills Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Taylor died April 8, 2019, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Delores Katherine (Hendsbee) Baillie, Trenton, and the late Robert Donald Baillie. She was an associate member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 59, Antigonish. An avid gardener, cook and baker, she loved to tell stories and entertain numerous guests. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert ‘Rob’ Taylor; three daughters, Bobbi-Jo (Jason) Mahar, MacPherson’s Mills; Julia Taylor, Pictou; Jenny Taylor (Adrian), Vancouver, British Columbia; two sons, Jamie (Sherri) Taylor, Thorburn; Jason Taylor, Calgary, Alberta; four grandchildren, Deanna, Blake, Jeffrey, Jamie; two sisters, Eva (David) Simpson, Trenton; Kathy Baillie, Trenton; brother, Rupert Baillie, Trenton; many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
