Mary Catherine 'Gladys' Cote

Funeral service for the late Mary Catherine ‘Gladys’ Côté, 74, St. Peters/Grand Greve, was held June 16 in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Antolin Asor officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Côté died June 5, 2018, in Richmond Villa, St. Peters. Born May 20, 1944, in St. Peters, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Eva Stone. She attended the Gaelic College and was a noted step dancer and dance instructor. She was also a hairstylist and owned her own business. She and her husband passed on their love of music and culture to their children. She is survived by five children, Roger, Glenn (Kathy), Darrin, Anne, Dwayne (Lisa); special daughter, Carol Martell; four grandchildren, Jeremy Stone, Branden, Nick and Nathan Cote; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Fran Campbell, Mary Bennett, Carolyn Stone, Gail Kelly (Larry); her brother Joseph Stone (Gloria); many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, noted fiddler Gordon Cote and her siblings Vernon, Gordon, Wayne and Sharon Stone. Memorial donations may be made Richmond Villa
