We, the family of Margarett (MacIntosh) Branle, regret to announce her passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Monday, December 10, 2018. Born in Florence on December 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Catherine (Dickson) MacIntosh. She was a member of Wilson United Church in Florence, and Westmount United Church. Margarett worked at Koolex Cleaners in Sydney. She was a loving and caring person and was always there when someone needed her. Margarett is survived by sisters, Mae Audrey (Ches) Sexton, Ruby Squarey and Rodney (Ralph) King, and brothers, John and Tommy. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Rose (Baxter) MacIntosh and Sheila (Alderson) MacIntosh, also a number of nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, Lily Campbell. Margarett was blessed with caring neighbours Alana and Hope, who allowed her to stay in her own home. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George; mother-in-law, Rose LeJean; sisters, Olga, Lois, Althea and Christina in infancy, and brothers, Hugh, Everett (Marie), Donald, Melrose, Alvin (Sis) and Daniel. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. The burial will be at a later date. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com.
