Lucy Mae Campbell

CAMPBELL, Lucy Mae Sydney It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lucy Mae Campbell, August 6, 2019, at the CBRH, surrounded by her loving family. Mom was born May 13, 1939 in Margaree and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Doucette. Lucy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a lifelong member of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish. Mom loved all life had to offer: family, friends, music, dancing and socializing. Lucy is survived by her only sibling, Marie (Gerry Pottie), her children, Betty Lahey (Roland), Stanley (Kelley), Andrea Fahey (Bobby), Paul (Patricia), Diane and Daniel (Jennifer); her grandchildren, all of whom were her favorites and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished. Lucy was predeceased by her husband, John; her best friend, Melvin Tremblett; and her children, Mary (in infancy), Jimmy, Sheila and Andrew. We would like to thank the amazing staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, CCU, Dr. Morrison, Dr. Gracie, Home Care and the EHS teams. Love and thanks to Lucy’s wonderful friends from her Argyle St. Senior’s Residence. Visitation for Lucy will be held from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Friday August 9, 2019, at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St. Sydney. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Sat., Aug 10, 2019, at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Burial to follow.
