Lucille Dean

With deep sadness, we, the family of Lucille Marie ‘Lucy’ Dean, regret to announce her passing on Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with her husband, Herbie by her side. Born February 13, 1945, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Aucoin) Aucoin. Lucille was formerly employed at the Holiday Inn and Jasper`s, George Street. She was a member of the Lupus Committee, Halifax. Lucille is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Herbert ‘Herbie’; daughter, Nicole (Mark) Poirier, Moncton; one granddaughter; sisters, Sally (Bill) Connors, Brampton, ON, Sherry Caldwell, Halifax and Elaine (John) Kozera, Sydney; brothers, Gary (Marilyn) and Keith (Bernice), Sydney and Francis (Donna), Ottawa, ON, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lucille was predeceased by her brother, Arnold. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 13 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m., with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Puppala, as well as the staff of 4B and the An Cala, Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for providing Lucille with wonderful and compassionate care.
