Leonard Mackenzie

MacKENZIE, Leonard Dawson - age 87, of Pictou, passed away June 12, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Hardwood Hill, Pictou County, he was a son of the late Charles and Lily (MacBain) MacKenzie. Leonard worked at the Scotsburn Co-op for 48 years holding various positions. He was very involved with horse jumping and ring master at exhibitions and also loved his flowers. Leonard was predeceased by brothers, John, Walter, Hughie, Lloyd and chosen brother, Leroy; sisters, Mary, Ethel and Ileen. A public graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 19th at 2PM in Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn with Jacquie Ross officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in Leonard’s memory may be made to the Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn Fire Department or the Pictou-North Colchester Exhibition. www.mclarenfuneral.ca.
